AIFF’s three-day referee workshop concluded

The three-day referee workshop by AIFF was an initiative taken by the Indian Super League (ISL) in keeping with its objective to help football grow across all aspects by conducting numerous theoretical as well as practical sessions.

The Indian Super League (ISL) Referee Workshop conducted by FIFA instructor, Ishiyama Noburu from Japan, concluded here on September 1.

The three-day workshop was an initiative taken by the ISL in keeping with its objective to help football grow across all aspects by conducting numerous theoretical as well as practical sessions, a media release said.

A total of 26 AIFF match officials — 13 referees and 13 assistant referees — were trained at the workshop that focused on enhancing the knowledge, application and interpretation of the laws of the game with effective teamwork and communication amongst the officials.

The workshop included sessions on topics that were segregated into new interpretation of laws, teamwork in match officials, management skills and field training, it said.
