East Bengal put an end to all rumours regarding coach Trevor Morgan's future by confirming that it expects the Englishman to stay in-charge till the end of the season.
Talking to Sportstar, Kalyan Majumdar, Secretary of East Bengal said that the club expects Morgan to return after the break.
"We are positive that he will return to train the team after the break. He will be our manager till the end of the season."
Morgan, too, had earlier said that he wished to stay till May and honour his contract. However, Majumdar gave no assurances on Morgan's future after the end of the season."It's too early to decide on that, we will think about it after the season is over," he said.
East Bengal's back-to-back losses to Churchill Brothers and Chennai City FC had put some pressure on Morgan, and some sections of the media had reported that he might not return for the remainder of the season.
The Kolkata outfit is still second in the league, trailing surprise package Aizawl FC by three points. Four matches still remain when the league resumes after the international break.
