Bengaluru FC striker Sunil Chhetri will not be able to play his team's Federation Cup semi-final clash against Aizawl FC here on Sunday.

Chhetri: ‘We have been wasteful in front of goal’

Chhetri was substituted in the second half of Bengaluru's last group match against Mohun Bagan on Fridaydue to discomfort in his legs.

Later, Bengaluru coach Albert Roca said the seasoned forward would not be available for the semifinal. "It is a muscle issue. He will miss the semifinal and may miss the final," said Roca, blaming the hot and humid conditions for the problem.

Roca said if Chhetri's injury would be more serious, then he might be out of action for the season.

Bengaluru has an AFC Cup match against Bagan in Kolkata May 17. The team is aiming to advance to the next stage of the continental event.
