La Liga also branded T-shirts for the players of the Oscar Foundation, which was a memorable moment for the kids at the R.C. Church Ground in Colaba.

“As La Liga Ambassador and being a former professional footballer, it is my honour to support the development of young talent. The humble initiative by La Liga will be able to motivate young players and bring out India’s best talent in football. Having fun is the most important factor in their development, the activity increased the kids’ desire to keep learning and striving to become the best they can be,” said Mendieta, as reported by a press release.

“It was incredible to see the look on the youngsters’ faces when they saw a LaLiga Ambassador coaching and playing with them today. It gives us immense pride that we are able to provide opportunities like these. Football is the most followed sport in the world, the only one truly universal. Meeting the legend watched on television by billions of people globally can have an incredible impact on youngsters. It is an experience they will always remember and hopefully it will give them the belief that they too can do great things with their lives,” said La Liga Country Manager India, Mr. Jose Antonio Cachaza.
