Bengaluru FC are coming into this I-League fixture after a 1-0 win over Aizawl FC on Sunday.

Shillong Lajong FC will play host to former I-League champions Bengaluru FC in a Hero I-League contest at the J.N. Stadium, Shillong here tomorrow.

The Reds are coming into this match after playing a 1-1 draw against DSK Shivajians last Friday in Shillong.

Dica scored the opener for DSK while Boithang Haokip netted the equaliser for the home team courtesy a brilliant free kick. Although, Lajong played a hard fought match they failed to convert the opportunities into goals.

It has not been easy for Thangboi’s men this season as they have been very unfortunate in front of goal. The team has delivered fair performances but lacked the finishing touch in front of goal. This remains the only drawback and has hurt the team immensely.

Uilliams has scored twice while Fabio, Sana and Boithang have scored one apiece thus far. Thangboi is hoping that the boys will give a much improved performance and more importantly score goals which will ultimately help the team gain more points.

Meanwhile, Bengaluru FC are coming into this I-League fixture after a 1-0 win over Aizawl FC on Sunday. The Blues are in the second position with 18 points. BFC have won six, lost three times and have scored a total of 13 goals in the league.

Local lad Eugeneson Lyngdoh is still out due to injury.

They are expected to keep Michael Collins in central midfield, followed by their captain Sunil Chhetri and Kim Seong-Yong, who will be attacking from the front and will be assisted by C.K. Vineeth on the right who has been doing very well for their team scoring a total of four goals so far.

Curtis Osano, Rino Anto and John Johnson will defending the team at the back while Seminlen Doungel, Udanta Singh and Malsawmzuala are also expected to play an integral role in tomorrow’s match.

Crossing over, the home team are in the fifth position with 11 points. They have played nine matches and scored five goals thus far. The team has won and lost twice and drew as many as five times.

The visitors have never won a game against Lajong in Shillong. Lajong won 3-0 during BFC’s debut I-League season and in the following year, both teams played out a 1-1 draw in Shillong. Lajong have kept a good record at home against the former I-League champions and will look to repeat the same when they play each other.
