Sporting Clube de Goa would be looking to collect full points when it meets Mumbai FC a Hero I-League football match at Nehru Stadium in Fatorda tomorrow.
Sporting Clube de Goa, which is one point behind Mumbai FC, has eight points from six matches. It is a well balanced side and has played well in its last two matches but lacked finishing touch, which was visible in the draw against Goan-rival Salgaocar.
Sporting captain Denzil Teobald, who got a knock in the last match, has recovered but coach Meteus Costa will take a final call on him tomorrow.
Mumbai’s Ashutosh Mehta, on the other hand, is back in the side after recovering from injury.
Mumbai FC coach Khalid Jamil said Sporting Clube de Goa is a well balance side and have good players.
“We need to have more focus and play to our potential if we are to win tomorrow,” said Jamil.
Sporting coach Costa also expects a tough match tomorrow.
“It is going to be a close contest. Our boys are playing well but lacked in finishing. In football result counts, if we play well and not score, it will not help us. Our boys know tomorrow we are playing at home. Hopefully they convert the chances that come their way,” said Costa.
In the other match of the day, newcomers DSK Shivajians will host Goa-based Salgaocar.
