ISL invites bids for new teams

Bids are being invited from prospective team owners in respect of 10-cities which are, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Cuttack, Durgapur, Hyderabad, Jamshedpur, Kolkata, Ranchi, Siliguri and Thiruvananthapuram.

ISL is likely to have more than eight teams from the 2017-18 season.

Indian Super League has invited bids for new teams to take part in the 2017-18 season.

Bids are being invited from prospective team owners in respect of 10-cities which are, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Cuttack, Durgapur, Hyderabad, Jamshedpur, Kolkata, Ranchi, Siliguri and Thiruvananthapuram.

One to three new winning bidders shall be enrolled and awarded the right to participate in the ISL

The 'Invitation To Bid’ (ITB) will be available on working days starting 12 May 2017 to 24 May 2017.

In case Kolkata gets another team, the new team will have to host matches outside the city of Kolkata for next two seasons.

The bid document has to be submitted by 25th May 2017.

Teams currently participate in the ISL are Atletico de Kolkata, Chennaiyin FC, Delhi Dynamos FC, FC Goa, FC Pune City, Kerala Blasters FC, NorthEast United FC and Mumbai City FC.
