Khalid Jamil to manage Aizawl FC

Jamil started his coaching career at Mumbai FC, where he stayed for seven years, before being replaced by Santosh Kashyap last season. The former Indian international will replace manager Jahar Das at Aizawl.

Former Mumbai FC manager, Khalid Jamil, will manage Aizawl FC in the up-coming season of I-League.

Jamil started his coaching career at Mumbai FC, where he stayed for seven years, before being replaced by Santosh Kashyap last season. The former Indian international will replace manager Jahar Das at Aizawl.

The 39-year-old is an established coach in the I-league and has also played in top-division football for the likes of Air India and Mahindra United.

The Mizoram-based club, who will be playing its second successive season in the I-League, will begin its campaign when it travels to East Bengal on the opening day. The team will play is first home match against Minerva Punjab FC at the Rajiv Gandhi stadium on 13th January.
