SAFF U-15 C'ship: Big wins for India, B'desh

India thrashed Bhutan 7-0, while Bangladesh defeated Sri Lanka.

Taison Singh and N. Sridarth netted a brace apiece as India thrashed Bhutan 7-0 to post its second consecutive victory in the SAFF Under-15 football championship at the Kalyani Stadium here on Sunday.

Bangladesh rode on Al Amin Rahman's five goals to outplay Sri Lanka 7-1 and record its second successive win as well.

The results: India 7 (Taison Singh 1, 59; N. Sridarth 9, 25; P. Singson 23; Isac Zomuanpuia 87, Renedy Meitei 89) bt Bhutan 0; Bangladesh 7 (Al Amin Rahman 32, 44, 59, 66, 71; Rakibul Islam 42; Al Mirad 48) bt Sri Lanka 1 (Muhammed Mihran 50).
