Former Indian coach Savio Medeira will takover as the new AIFF Technical Director.

Former Indian national football team coach Savio Medeira is set to take up the role of All India Football Federation (AIFF) Technical Director vacated by Scott O'Donell.

Savio has a wealth of experience having played his entire career for Salgaocar SC before becoming the team's coach. He started as an assistant coach and took over the helm in the 2001-02 NFL (National Football League) season. He remained at the post for six years and then accepted the invitation from AIFF to be the assistant coach for the Indian side under Bob Houghton. He was appointed the national team coach in 2011 and managed the team in 2011 SAFF Cup and 2012 AFC Challenge Cup.

Exiting Technical Director Scott O'Donell is a former Australian national football team player and tookover from Robert Baan in 2015. The former Cambodia coach had cited family reasons and a desire to go back to Australia while quitting.
