Shillong Lajong FC started its preparations for the I-League in right earnest by announcing the names of full quota of six foreigners on Monday. With the new I-League rules allowing the registration of six foreigners, out of which five can be fielded in a match, Shillong Lajong preferred to keep a balance in all the three departments.
In the defence it has Laurence Doe of Liberia and Oh Juho of Korea. Daniel Odafin (Nigeria) and Yemen’s Aiman Saleh Al-Hagri are the two midfielders while Abdoulaye Koffi (Ivory Coast) and Saihou C.H. Jange (Gambia) will be spearheading the attack. The Shillong side has formed a good squad with a fair sprinkling of youngsters graduating from the Academy who will join the group of experienced foreigners in action.
