Kerala Blasters on Wednesday announced the signing of the Calicut-born goalkeeper Thumbirumbu Paramba Rehenesh from NorthEast United FC.

During ISL 2015, Rehenesh was credited for the highest number of saves by any goalkeeper and also secured four clean sheets the same year, the most number by an Indian goalkeeper.

Previously, he has played for East Bengal, Mumbai Tigers, Shillong Lajong, Rangdajied United and ONGC.

Rehenesh was also a part of the U-23 National team in 2015-16 and represented the nation in 2017 as well.


Speaking of his signing, Kerala Blasters head coach Eelco Schattorie said, “We are very happy to have signed Rehenesh TP who has been the no. 1 goalkeeper for North East United FC for many years. As a keeper, he has good athletic abilities and is also great with the ball. His experience will surely bring good stability to the entire team."
