For Spain, Rodrigo scored the first goal in the 16 minute, followed by Isco in 23 minutes. Even before Albania could settle down, Thiago Alcantara added to the woes, scoring the third goal for Spain in 26th minute.

Giorgio Chielleni scored in the 40th minute to give Italy the advantage, but equations changed in the second half, with Aleksandar Trajkovski equalising in the 77th minute.
