Delhi Dynamos (DD) FC and debutant  Jamshedpur FC, will make the first moves during Sunday’s Indian Super League Indians draft. The latter, owned by Tata Steel and managed by Steve Coppell, have no players on contract and expectedly will build a team from scratch from the time the 15-round draft gets underway. Eight more franchises are in the fray, including Bengaluru FC moving from I-League to the city-based league.

Miguel Angel Portugal, who took over the reigns at DD from Gianluca Zambrotta, has opted to start on a clean slate. The franchise did not exercise the option to existing franchises granted by organizers to retain two Indians from last season’s squad, nor two U-21 players.

As the result of this surprise move, names like sensational Kean Lewis, Milan Singh, Souvik Chakraborthy, Anas Edathodika go into the draft pool to be picked up by rival franchises.
