FC Goa's Ferran Corominas slots in a penalty against Pune City.

FC Goa's Ferran Corominas became the highest goalscorer in a single Indian Super League (ISL) season after his strikes against FC Pune City on Sunday.

The Spanish forward scored his 14th and 15th goal of the season to go past the record of 13 goals set by Stiven Mendoza while playing for Chennaiyin FC in 2015.

Corominas will have a chance to improve his tally as Goa has two more matches to play in its quest to seal a play-off spot, one against ATK at home and the last one at Jamshedpur.

His nearest contender for the golden boot in the current season is Bengaluru FC's Miku, who has 13 goals in 17 matches.
