Former Uruguay and Manchester United striker has signed for Mumbai City FC for the upcoming season of the Indian Super League.

He joins the club as its marquee player for the third season of the competition and the player confirmed the same on Twitter.

Forlan, who has the most number of caps for his national team, was playing for Montevideo-based club Penarol last season. His career has taken him to Manchester United, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid and he won the Golden Ball in the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
