Juan Ferrando: "Today, the one point is important. It was difficult to find space in this game. One team was defending and one team was attacking. [Pressure after the mixed results?] No. Team is working for me and it's a new players and new coach. [Lack of penetration in midfield] We need to break the lines. We need high performance to attack these areas. But the legs aren't ready at times. [On tusle with Nus] I prefer to not talk about it and talk about it face to face. The penalty, I don't think it was a penalty."

Gerard Nus: "I am happy with the players. Big effort after third game in 10 days. This is our style, how we play. Everybody know's Goa's quality coming here to play. We had to work hard and we did. [5 changes] We run a lot and work so much. We need to bring in fresh people and people we trust 100. I trust evrrybody with the effort they play in training. I am thinking about the Saturday's game. Gallego will be ready for the next game. He felt something during activation due to the volume and intensity of the game, so we were conservative. [Tussle with Ferrando] Basically, he was interested in EUFC. He was at our bench. Ask him."

FULL-TIME. An enthralling contest comes to an end. 1-1. Action on the pitch and on the sidelines. Goa has just two points from its first three matches. Nus' defensive organisation at NEUFC has passed another test. Goa had plenty of possession (68) and passes (580) but it could have just two shots on target. NorthEast remains 2nd in the table after 3 matches.

90' +5' Free-kick for Goa in the NEUFC half. 45 yards out. Bedia to take it. The flick on header by Ortiz is over the bar.

90' +4' The ball found the feet of Chote inside the box but his shot on the turn is blocked.

90' +2' Ortiz's shot from outside the box is deflected behind for a corner.

Oh my... Noguera has shoved Nus to the floor and Ferrando is cheering on as if his team has scored a goal...

Five minutes of added time.

Commentator says Noguera has bundled Nus down to the floor.

89' GOA SUB: Aiban OFF, Pandita ON. ISL debut for Pandita

88' Yellow card for Camara for a foul on Princeton.

87' Meetei with a poor cutback on a one-vs-one run. What an opening for NEUFC to steal all three points.

85' Gurmeet spills Ortiz's cross out to the byline and concedes a corner.

84' Ortiz finds Noguera outside the box and he fires in a left-footed drive which smacks the post.

83' Gurmeet runs out of his line to cut off a long ball to Chote. Well judged by the 'keeper there.

80' Freekick for NEUFC. Machado strikes it well and was maybe going in but Nawaz moves to his right to push it behind for a corner.

Nus and Ferrando are having a go at each other on the touchline.  The referee has to come in to break hthe two up.

77' Play resumes. NUEFC SUB: Sylla OFF, Appiah ON

Drinks break taken

75' Makan Chote rejected a NEUFC contract to sign for Goa. He comes on to make his ISL debut. He has looked nippy in the opening minutes.

72' GOA SUB: Lenny OFF, Chote ON

70' Cramps, free-kicks and balls out of play has slowed down the pace of this half. Some tired legs creeping in.

66' Lalrempuia is down too now. NEUFC SUB: Lalrempuia OFF, Rochharzela ON

65' Play stopped after Aiban has a touch of the cramps. He is up and gets on with it.

62' Gama wins a corner down the left side. The ball doesn't find any Goa player in the box.

61' GOA SUB: Brandon OFF, Princeton ON

61' Excellent from Saviour to not allow Meetei to run down the right wing. He cuts in front of Meetei and allows the ball to run away for a goal kick.

60' Passing move from Goa ends up with Bedia shooting over the bar from outside the box.

57' Aiban has somehow found himself in the wings multiple occasions this half. But his crossing hasn't been great in this passage of play.

55' Lalaengmawia and Fanai have both had a shy at goal with the first one blocked and the second goes over the bar.

This is some engrossing end-to-end football. Lot of sliding challenges, skipping away from challenges, dribbles, blocks. This game has got it all.

51' NUEFC SUB: Britto OFF, Ninthoi Meetei ON

50' Goa is all over NEUFC in the start of the second period. NEUFC strugging to get out of its box.

49' Ortiz gets away from Lalengmawia and cuts in from the left and unleashes a long range which again is narrowly wide off the far post.

47' Brandon wins a corner on the right. Short corner and the ball is cleared before Goa on to the loose ball again. Aiban plays in a cross from the left and Angulo heads the ball narrowly wide off the far post.

46' NEUFC SUBS: Provat, Subhasish OFF, Ashutosh, Gurmeet ON. Goa begin the second half.

HALF TIME. Superb half of football. Goa dominated play and have come and have passed the ball quicker than they have in the last two games. NEUFC has serious threat on the counter and took the lead courtesy a penalty. Goa immediately hit back through its top scorer, Angulo. But the biggest positive for Goa has to be the return of Brandon into the starting XI. He has helped Goa provide the crucial passes in the final third.

45'+3' Referee steps in to separate Sylla and Gonzalez after the pair get into a tussle inside the box. No attempt comes off the throw in.

45'+2' Brandon again makes space for himself in the middle and plays in a ball over the top for Angulo, who can't get his header on target.

45'+1' Sylla takes a shot on the turn from the edge of the box but Nawaz collects it well.

Three minutes of added time.

43' GOAL! Angulo equalises! Finally some width on the left side for Goa. Bedia finds Brandon on the flank, and he drops the shoulder and turns awy from Provat and hooks in a low cross into the six-yard area, where Angulo flicks into the net with the inside of his foot. Superb finish.

40' GOAL! Sylla scores again! The striker makes Nawaz jump the wrong way before putting it to the left. What a moment in the game.

39' Sylla scores but the referee wants a retake after there was an encroachment by a NEUFC player.

38' PENALTY! A big call from the ref Crystal John. Gonzalez pulls Sylla down inside the box and the referee points to the spot. The Goan players are not happy.

37' Noguera's shot from inside the box is blocked.

34' CHANCE! Camara intercepts Bedia's pass, plays in Britto down the right flank. Britto's cross deflects off a Goa leg and finds Sylla on an awkward bounce. The striker fails to keep the header on target and goes narrowly over the bar.

33' Machado fails to find his teammates inside the box. Goalkick for Goa.

32' Play resumes. Freekick on the left for NEUFC.

27' Brandon in the thick of everything good for Goa. He orchestrates a move from the back, runs to the left before drawing in NEUFC bodies to make space on the right for Ortiz. Ortiz runs down the right and ends up crossing it behind for a goal-kick after some pressure by Gurjnder.

25' Brandon wins the ball off Machado with a sliding tackle but the referee gives a delayed freekick in favour of NEUFC.

24' Gama finds himself inside the box with the ball at his feet and his shot on the turn is off target.

22' Ortiz and Noguera link-up inside the box and the former hooks in a cross which is just over the head of Angulo in the middle. NEUFC break forward immediately and Bedia does well to tarck back and make a good interception.

20' Close to 70 percent possession for Goa. A chipped ball into Noguera, who fails to get boot on ball for the cross on the stretch.

19' Brilliant from Lalengmawia. Wins the foul after resisting the press from two Goa players. Then plays in a pass to break the lines to Machado. The move ends with a teasing cross from the left into the Goa box which had no takers from NEUFC. Lalengmawia seems so calm and assured on the ball for his age and experience. And he has been given the captaincy today. All of 20 years old. Remarklable.

17' NEUFC players are offering some threat in attack after Goa's brisk start. Direct running through the flanks and the middle of the park and some dangerous crosses so far which has required good defending.

14' Ortiz with a cross from the right but the ball finds Provat, who calmly chests it down to his 'keeper.

12' Machado, on the break, drives through the middle and plays in the ball behind Aiban to Sylla but the striker couldn't sort his feet out. Aiban recovers to dispossess him.

11' Lalengmawia with a foul on Noguera near the centre circle.

9' Fox gets a crucial header

to the cross from Gama to Angulo inside the box.

8' Noguera does well to fight off two NEUFC midfielders in the middle of the park.

5' Brandon with a diagonal switch from left to right for Ortiz, who cuts into the centre and fires a shot straight at Subhasish. Encouraging start from Goa.

3' Some slick passing move from Goa after a poor goalkick by Subhasish. Noguera's through ball is cut out.

2' Ortiz drives down the right flank and ends it playing it out for a goalkick.

1' NorthEast gets us underway at the Fatorda. They play from left to right. Corner in the first minute. Bedia heads it away from his box.

FIRST HALF

7.25 pm: Teams are making their way out to the middle. Goa in a changed black strip. NO! Just NO. NorthEast are in their away colours - white. There was no reason to change the colours.

7.20 pm: The pressure is on Goa to get its first win of the season and avoid further slip-up in the points table. Not often do you see Goa near the bottom of the table, despite having played just two games.

7.10 pm: Goa's Alexander Romario speaks to the official broadcaster, "It's disappointing. We are a very good team. We didn't too well in the last two matches. Hope we get the three points today. We played very well against Mumbai [despite the red card]. In the last minute we conceded the penalty. I am proud of the team and we showed good character. [On NEUFC] They are a compact team; good in attack and defence."

7.05 pm: Five changes for NUEFC. Britto PM makes his first start on the back of a superb cameo in the 2-2 draw vs Kerala Blasters. Provat Lakra replaces Ashutosh mehta at right-back and Lalrempuia Fanei returns to the XI. Luis Machado takes the place of skipper Federico Gallego in the XI. But the biggest change is Sylla coming for Appiah.
