[On his side's over-all performance after back-to-back losses]: I believe a lot in my team. My players have a lot of confidence and motivation to play the last game (against ATK Mohun Bagan). It is also important to control motivation. When its too high it may be a problem. We needed to manage this situation well. The most important this is to be strong as a team and as a family in bad moments. This game today is helpful for us in terms of motivation for the next game."

What a resounding win for Mumbai City FC! The Islanders ride on Bipin Singh's hat-trick to hand Odisha FC a 6-1 hammering. The win sees the side jump to 37 points and cut ATK Mohun Bagan's lead to three points.

84' Arshdeep saves Jahouh's penalty! The Moroccan selfishly chose to take the penalty instead of giving it to Bipin, who is on a hat-trick. Jahouh goes for power, but Arshdeep makes the right guess to parry it away.
83' Vikram wins a penalty! He is clumsily brought down by Kamalpreet in the box.
79' No hat-trick for Ogbeche! He is replaced by Vikram Pratap.

58' Vinit has Mauricio ahead of him and Jerry to his right, but decides to go for the shot instead. He wins a corner, but also gets a earful from Mauricio.

53' Jerrrrrrrrrrrrrry! He gets to the end of a lovely lob and fires a venomous half-volley that clatters against the side netting.
52' Triple change for Mumbai City - Hernan Santana, Mandar Rao Dessai and Rowllin Borges come on for Mourtada, Amey and Le Fondre.
49' Mumbai City comes into the second half all guns blazing. It's now simply a contest of who can score more goals for the Highlanders.
47' BIPIN SCORES HIS SECOND! Ogbeche finds Bipin on the left and the midfielder curls one in with his right foot to give Mumbai City a four-goal advantage! Odisha FC's defensive nightmare continues.
46' And the second half gets underway. One change for Odisha FC - Bodo is replaced by Laishram Premjit Singh.

Odisha FC got off to a dream start as it took the lead in the ninth minute, but the side had nothing to celebrate after that. Ogbeche got Mumbai City back on level terms four minutes later as the Islanders began to stamp their authority.
Lobera's men then netted thrice in a space of six minutes, through Bipin, Ogbeche and Goddard, to cruise to a 4-1 lead.

44' GODDARD MAKES IT 4-1! A through ball meant for Bipin is cleared by Kamalpreet, but the clearance is a tad poor. It falls to Goddard, who unleashes a ferocious left-footed strike to extend his side's lead. Two goals in as many minutes for the Islanders!
43' OGBECHE NODS IT HOME FOR MUMBAI CITY! Jahouh curls in a peach of a freekick and Ogbeche rises above his marker to head the ball into the net. Two assists for Jahouh and two goals for Ogbeche!
42' The Vignesh vs Jerry battle on the left flank continues and the latter goes into the ref's book this time.
40' Mumbai City firmly in control of this game now.
38' BIPIN MAKES IT 2-1 TO MUMBAI CITY! Ogbeche receives Goddard's cross from the right and has a go, but can't get a clear connection. The deflection falls kindly for Bipin on the far post, who drills a low shot past Arshdeep. Odisha FC's inability to clear the ball in the box comes back to haunt it.
37' While both sides have managed just one shot on target, Mumbai City has absolutely dominated this game after scoring the equaliser. The Islanders have close to 70 percent possession and have been piling the pressure on the Odisha back-line.
34' Second yellow card of the game - Vignesh gets booked for a poor tackle on Jerry. That's Vignesh's fourth yellow card of the season and he will miss the side's upcoming clash against ATK Mohun Bagan.

30' Substitution: Taylor is replaced by Sajid Dhot.
28' Taylor appears to be in a spot of bother - he seems to have pulled a muscle during that tackle he made on Bipin.
26' Mumbai City has been running circles around the Odisha defence. The Kalinga Warriors have struggled to really set into a rhythm and are left to depend on the rare counter attacking chance.
23' First booking of the game - Taylor picks up a yellow card for hacking down Bipin on the left flank.
22' Onwu has a go from distance...but it's well off target.
20' Inches away! Goddard plays a lovely through ball for Le Fondre and the Englishman drills a cross across the goal. Bipin, racing towards the far post, falls just short of it.
17' How did that not go in!?! Le Fondre's low cross takes a wicked deflection off a defender and forces Arshdeep to make a sharp save. The danger is far from cleared, a goal-line melee ensues, and Le Fondre tries a backheel but can only find the side netting.
15' STAT: This is the eighth time Odisha FC has conceded in the opening quarter this season.
14' OGBECHE EQUALISES! Mumbai City is back on level terms as Ogbeche scores a thumping diving header to bag his sixth goal of the season. Jahouh makes amends for giving the penalty away with a delightful assist.
11' Mumbai City in unfamiliar territory now. The Islanders, coming into the game on the back of two successive losses, will need to switch things up and find a way back.
9' GOAAAAAAAAL - MAURICIO SCORES! The Brazilian fires his penalty straight at Amrinder but the 'keeper fails to keep it out. This is the first time Odisha FC has opened the scoring this season.
8' PENALTY TO ODISHA FC! Mauricio plays a lovely chip to release Jerry into the box and the latter is brought down by Jahouh. Strangely though, Jahouh is not booked.
7' The Le Fondre-Ogbeche combination will be key for Mumbai City FC today. Ogbeche has scored thrice in three games against Odisha FC.
5' The Islanders will have to be careful today. Amey Ranawade, Mourtada Fall, Bartholomew Ogbeche, Adam le Fondre and Vignesh Dakshinamurthy are one yellow card away from a one-match suspension.
2' Bodo with the first attacking move for Odisha. A through ball releases him into the attacking third and the youngster shows good pace, but his run is cut short by Jahouh.

MATCH PREVIEW:
For Odisha FC, there is literally nothing at stake in its Indian Super League (ISL 2020-21) match on Wednesday against second-placed Mumbai City FC at the GMC Stadium in Bambolim. Claimant for the wooden spoon with just nine points, Odisha can still play spoilsport. Mumbai City, which is still in contention for the ISL League winner Shield, can't afford to take the contest lightly.

If the Islanders can get past Odisha, then they will take on ATK Mohun Bagan on February 28 for the battle as to who will top the ISL points table and claim the coveted AFC Champions League berth. Mumbai, now having lost both of its last two games, has a few issues to fix. Being the best team for the major part of the league, Mumbai City has now just won one in its last six games.

Sergio Lobera, head coach of Mumbai City, knows the importance of the match. “We need to improve our performance because we want to win this game. Playing like we did in the last game [against Jamshedpur losing 2-0], it is impossible to win the game. The focus is on ourselves and we need to improve at both ends,” he said.
Talking of the match against Jamshedpur, Lobera said: “We played the worst game of our season and hopefully this is in the past now. The most important thing is our present and our future. It was a bad day in the office and sometimes this happens. The important thing is to not repeat this.”

Meanwhile, Steven Dias, who took charge of Odisha after interim manager Gerald Peyton left the club for personal reasons after the match against FC Goa, backed his young players. “We have really good young players. I still think that we have a very balanced team. But, we have been so unfortunate. Starting off the season, Thoiba (Singh) and Saurabh (Meher) played in the central midfield but after one or two games even coach Stuart (Baxter) didn’t get much chance to put Indian players,” he said. “But, they are very talented, I have seen them in the training sessions. In the future, they are going to be very good players but we didn’t get much chance to play some of the young players. I am trying my best to give a few young players a chance if they can. I personally feel, in one match, you can change your career. I always tell the young players – prepare yourself and when you get the chance, prove yourself,” he added.

The seventh edition of the Indian Super League got underway inside a bio-bubble in Goa on November 20.
The tournament, spanning over four months, will see 11 teams play each other in a league and playoff format across three venues. Following the inclusion of SC East Bengal, this season will feature 115 games, up from 95 last season.
