Kerala Blasters to have final pre-season in Kolkata

Kerala Blasters will be shifting base to the hallowed Mohun Bagan ground for its final leg of pre-season training for the third season of the Indian Super League.

Kerala Blasters will be shifting base to the hallowed Mohun Bagan ground for its final leg of pre-season training for the third season of the Indian Super League. The Blasters camp will be held here from September 20 to 28 to prepare ahead of opening match against the NorthEast United FC in the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Guwahati on October 1.

Kerala Blasters will be arriving in the city on Monday from Thailand, where it had the initial phase of the pre-season training. The team did well in Thailand winning two out of three pre-season friendlies, in the two weeks it trained in the Muang Thong Thani facility in Bangkok.

In the first friendly of the season, Kerala Blasters beat BBCU FC, the former Thai champion also known as Sinthana, by a 2-1 margin in Bangkok. The team drew the second game against Bangkok United FC and went on to win the third against a combination from Phrae United and BEC Tero Sasana, said a statement from the team.
