Rene Meulensteen is Kerala Blasters' new coach

Rene Meulensteen, former manager of Fulham, will replace the 62-year-old Steve Coppell at the Blasters camp.

Kerala Blasters on Friday appointed Rene Meulensteen as its head coach for the upcoming Indian Super League season.

The former Manchester United assistant coach will replace the 62-year-old Steve Coppell at the Blasters camp. He's also managed Fulham in 2013-14 and has had a stint in Russia with Anzhi Makhachkala.

Kerala Blasters has twice finished runner-up and will hope Meulensteen to lead it to a first title.
