Justin Bieber, the grammy-winning pop star, will be seen performing live for the first time in India on May 10 at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai.

The stadium is one of the venues for the upcoming Under-17 FIFA World Cup in India, which is scheduled to begin on October 6 this year. The FIFA committee will visit the stadium on March 20 where it will certify the progress and is likely to present it as an official match stadium.

His concert is a part of his 'Purpose World Tour' where he will be seen crooning some of his award winning hits like, 'Mark My Words', 'Sorry' and 'Boyfriend'.

All the seats in the stadium, which has a capacity to accommodate 55,000 spectators, will be changed in view of the World Cup.

"We have discussed in detail with DY Patil how important will this concert be on the preparation for the World Cup. We are happy that DY Patil is hosting this concert, as it is a huge step for the operational readiness of the facility and we hope that the other stadiums can arrange similar high profile events to test the operations. This is key for the success of the tournament," Javier Ceppi,, the tournament Director at Local Organising Committee of FIFA U-17 World Cup, told Goal.com.
