Liverpool's Divock Origi, center, celebrates scoring his side's fourth goal of the game during the Champions League semifinal second-leg against Barcelona at Anfield.

Divock Origi slotted in from close range to give Liverpool the lead in the second leg of the Champions League semifinal against Barcelona. Origi scored a second in the 79th minute to put the game beyond Barca's reach and power Liverpool into its second consecutive Champions League final.

Georginio Wijnaldum is the first substitute to score twice in a Champions League match for Liverpool since Ryan Babel against Besiktas in 2007. He's also the first ever sub to score twice against Barcelona in the competition.

Mohamed Salah had sustained a head injury against Newcastle United, and had been ruled out of Liverpool's Champions League clash with Barcelona. The Egypt forward, on the day of the match, could be seen wearing a jumper with the phrase 'Never Give Up' on it, lending his support to his team-mates. Jurgen Klopp's men would go on to vindicate their star striker's message!

High and Dry: Barca star striker Lionel Messi was left in the lurch after the visiting side slipped to a 0-4 defeat against Liverpool at Anfield, and with it conceded a place in the finals to Jurgen Klopp's men. A late double from Messi in the Camp Nou in the first leg had left Liverpool with a mountain to climb to overturn a 3-0 first-leg defeat. However, what transpired in the second leg surely took Messi and the whole Barcelona team by surprise.
