Mehrajuddin Wadoo appointed head coach of FC Pune City’s U-18 team

The former India defender reunites with the club after four years.

Mehrajuddin Wadoo has turned to coaching since 2017.

Mehrajuddin Wadoo has been appointed head coach of FC Pune City’s U-18 team, the club announced via a communiqué on Wednesday.

The former India defender turned to coaching in 2017, having launched his own football academy in his native State of Jammu and Kashmir. Wadoo will be now be reuniting with Pune, having played for the club in the first edition of the Indian Super League.

Looking forward to his new role, Wadoo said, “I want to give back to the sport that’s given me so much and at FC Pune City, I will be able to do that.”

Wadoo has also played for Chennaiyin FC and Mumbai City FC in the ISL.
