Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are superstars with a fan following around the world. So it’s not surprising to see some of these fans brave it all to meet their heroes.

Messi, who is currently playing in the United States, obliged a fan who ran into the ground at the start of the second half of the semifinal between USA and Argentina by signing his jersey. The fan who came and hugged Messi, then bowed in front of the Barcelona star.

Cristiano Ronaldo also experienced something similar after the Portugal game against Austria. A fan ran onto the pitch after the final whistle to click a selfie with the Portugese captain. Ronaldo was gracious enough to fulfil his wish and even smiled for the camera despite missing a penaly and the game ending in a frustrating draw for Portugal.
