Santosh Trophy: Murmu, Sarakar's second-half goals send Bengal to final

Karnataka crashed out of the tournament with a 2-0 defeat.

Jiten Murmu and Tirthankar Sarakar's second-half goals helped Bengal beat Karnataka 2-0 and progress through to the Santosh Trophy final.

Murmu broke the deadlock on the 57th minute. Karnataka, which which hasn't won this trophy for nearly 50 years, was kept at bay by the defending champion.

Tirthankar Sarakar made sure of a Bengal win in the second minute (90+2') of stoppage time, converting a free-kick that was won by the goal-scorer, Murmu.

Bengal will face either Kerala in Sunday's (April 1) final.
