Premier League Form Guide: Can Conte outwit Mourinho again?

Chelsea have endured a turbulent Premier League title defence, but a rematch with Jose Mourinho may bring the best out of Antonio Conte.

Chelsea's efforts to establish consistency lead them to Old Trafford this weekend and a clash with a Manchester United side bidding to forget their Newcastle United nightmare.

That affair could open second place up to Liverpool, who boast an enviable recent record against visiting West Ham.

There is plenty at stake at the bottom, too, where Brighton and Hove Albion, Burnley and West Brom can all make major moves.

LEICESTER CITY V STOKE CITY (SATURDAY 12:30 GMT)

Paul Lambert's arrival has steadied Stoke City, but must they break an eight-game winless run in Premier League away matches if they are to escape the bottom three this weekend.

Leicester City talisman Jamie Vardy will be the player to stop, having scored in each of his last four appearances and in both of these clubs' two most recent meetings at the King Power Stadium.

BOURNEMOUTH V NEWCASTLE UNITED (SATURDAY 15:00 GMT)

Newcastle United's vital 1-0 win over Manchester United last time out contrasted greatly with Bournemouth's shock 4-1 loss at Huddersfield Town.

But the Cherries are a different proposition at the Vitality Stadium, where they have won their past three matches.

Newcastle, meanwhile, have enjoyed just one victory at the venue – a 1-0 win under Steve McClaren in November 2015.

BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION V SWANSEA CITY (SATURDAY 15:00 GMT)

Swansea City's stunning revival under Carlos Carvalhal could be set to continue away to Brighton and Hove Albion.

Chris Hughton's side are enjoying their own handy run of results, but have failed to score in four of their last five competitive clashes with the Swans.

They did, however, claim a 1-0 win in the reverse fixture.

BURNLEY V SOUTHAMPTON (SATURDAY 15:00 GMT)

Winless in 10 top-flight matches, Burnley have the perfect opportunity to rediscover their early season form at home to out-of-sorts Southampton.

The Clarets have won the last two fixtures between these teams and are unbeaten in the Saints' last four visits to Turf Moor.

LIVERPOOL V WEST HAM (SATURDAY 15:00 GMT)

West Ham's progress under David Moyes will be put to the test when they visit a Liverpool side who have put four past them in the teams' last two clashes.

Moyes has failed to win in 14 trips to Anfield, although the Hammers are unbeaten in their past three competitive matches at the venue.

WEST BROM V HUDDERSFIELD TOWN (SATURDAY 15:00 GMT)

Alan Pardew should welcome the arrival of Huddersfield Town as a chance to alleviate the pressure on him and rock-bottom West Brom.

The Baggies will look to exploit a weakness which has seen Huddersfield lose all three matches this season against teams starting the day in the relegation zone.

WATFORD V EVERTON (SATURDAY 17:30 GMT)

Watford and Everton fought an off-the-field battle earlier this season as they engaged in a tussle over former Hornets boss Marco Silva.

His replacement, Javi Gracia, suffered a maiden Premier League defeat last time out, but will take heart from Everton having conceded nine goals across their last two away league games.

CRYSTAL PALACE V TOTTENHAM (SUNDAY 12:00 GMT)

Crystal Palace's fine start to 2018 has ebbed away in recent weeks and the task does not get any easier at home to Tottenham.

Spurs have recorded five successive Premier League victories over the Eagles, two of which have come at Selhurst Park. Harry Kane, meanwhile, has scored 19 goals in his last 14 league fixtures on the road.

MANCHESTER UNITED V CHELSEA (SUNDAY 14:05 GMT)

The blockbuster of the weekend sees Manchester United attempt to put space between themselves and fourth-placed Chelsea.

The Red Devils won this fixture 2-0 last term, but it remains a lone victory across their last 14 meetings in all competitions.

Antonio Conte has played his part in establishing that supremacy, beating Jose Mourinho in three of four competitive clashes since taking charge at Chelsea.
