Defending champion Bangladesh rode on Al Mirad’s brace to post a comprehensive 5-2 victory over Bhutan in the SAFF under-15 football championship at the Kalyani Stadium on Friday.

In another match, Nepal beat Sri Lanka 2-0 to open its account on the points table.

THE RESULTS:

Bangladesh 5 (Mohd. Al Amin Rahman 15; Al Mirad 21, 80; Shuvo Sarkar 45; Mohd. Emon Islam Babu 94) beat Bhutan 2 (Sonam Jugdrul Chozang 17; Phub Dorji 32).

Nepal 2 (Sasank Bohra 46; Ashim Rai 83) beat Sri Lanka 0.
