Victor Lindelof: All you need to know about Man Utd's new target

Lindelof is over 6ft tall, and is someone who loves to tackle, something Mourinho admires in his defenders. He is also known to have brain for key passes, linking defence to the midfield - meaning Mourinho might be tempted to play him as a defensive midfield, and groom him as a long term replacement for ageing Michael Carrick

Victor Lindelof is a name being heavily linked with Manchester United for the upcoming January transfer window.

The 22-year-old Swede is a centre-back who can also play as a right back.

He started his career in Sweden at little-known club Vasteras IK before moving to Benfica in 2015 for 1.5m euros.

He has also represented Sweden through the ranks, from U-17 to the senior squad and has made 11 appearances for the national team.

He has made only 30 appearances for Benfica, but surely United scouts feel they have something on their hands, which is making them go all out and a deal of around 38m pounds is expected to be sealed for him.
