Zenit St Petersburg has signed Argentina defender Emanuel Mammana from French side Lyon, the Russian club confirmed on Monday.

Mammana, 21, has signed a five-year deal, with no financial details of the contract disclosed.

Mammana started his career with River Plate and won the Argentinian title in 2014 and the Copa Libertadores a year later.

He moved to Lyon last year and has also won three caps for his country.

Now coached by Roberto Mancini, Zenit has won their first three matches of the new Russian season.
