Brooke Henderson hit a hole-in-one as she shot to a two-stroke lead after the opening round of the Women's PGA Championship.
The 18-year-old Canadian's effort on the 155-yard, par-three 13th hole saw her secure an eagle, adding to her five birdies on Thursday to shoot a four-under par 67.
Henderson began with two bogeys on her first three holes but recovered with three birdies on the rest of the front nine at the Sahalee Country Club in Sammamish, Washington.
A bogey on the 12th saw her drop to par but a remarkable hole-in-one on the 13th helped her recover, before sinking two more birdies on the back nine.
"It was a pretty good day today. The hole-in-one was awesome," Henderson, ranked fourth in the world, said.
"I pulled my shot a little bit, caught the left apron and following right into the hole. It's my fourth [hole-in-one]. And it ended up being the car hole.
"Four under today. It was a good start."
Christina Kim and I.K Kim (69) are tied for second, two strokes behind Henderson.
Six players are tied for third at one under, including world number 10 Ariya Jutanugarn, who won all three of her career LPGA Tour titles last month.
Meanwhile, three-time defending champion Park Inbee (72) is tied for 20th along with 17 others.
However, the 27-year-old - who has seven major championships among her 17 LPGA wins - officially qualified for the LPGA Hall of Fame after completing 10 years on tour.
