Golfer Jyoti Randhawa arrested on poaching charges

Indian golfer Jyoti Randhawa was arrested on Wednesday on poaching charges in Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh. He allegedly killed a jungle fowl.

Randhawa was nabbed by the authorities near Dudhwa Tiger Reserve in Motipur Range of Katerniaghat. He owns a farm in the area.

At the time of arrest, police recovered a gun registered under Randhawa’s name, a skin of wild boar among other equipments.

He is under interrogation at the moment.

From 2004 to 2009, Randhawa was one of the top 100 golfers. He was previously married to Bollywood actress Chitrangada Singh. The couple divorced in 2014.
