Ravindra Jadeja picked up two wickets including a crucial wicket of Joe Root which helped India to restrict England within the 250-run mark.

Joe Root was the highest scorer for England with a patient innings of 78 runs. Unfortunately, he could not sustain his patience for long as he was dismissed by Jadeja.

Despite a finger injury, Haseeb Hameed remained unbeaten on 59 as England managed to get a second-innings lead of 102. He was involved in a last-wicket partnership of 41 runs with James Anderson.

Chris Woakes played a camio of 30 runs and helped England reach the 200-mark by indulging in a 43-run 8th wicket partnership with Haseeb Hameed.

Mohammed Shami broke the crucial partnership between Hameed and Woakes when he dismissed Woakes. He followed it up with another wicket of Adil Rashid.

Parthiv Patel's quickfire 67 ensured India took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the five-match Test series. The home side chased the target of 103 runs with 8 wickets to spare.
