ATK and NEUFC in action in Kolkata on Thursday evening during their ISL 2018-19 tie.

The sixth of the Indian super League between ATK and NorthEast United FC ended in a 0-1 defeat for ATK.

Here are the four major talking points from NorthEast United's win over ATK:

1.  In a match, many incidents miss the referee’s eye, but the television cameras locate the mischief. One such happened in the fifth minute when ATK midfielder Noussair El Maimouni set the ball inside the box just to see NEUFC goalkeeper T.P. Rehenesh becoming too aggressive and slapping Gerson Vieira on the chest. This could have been a big penalty for the NEUFC custodian had the referee seen the incident.

2. Just when ATK tried to figure out the right approach towards the game, a stray dog sprinted across the length of the field. The play was not held up, but the friendly mongrel seemed to suggest the home players that the factor absent in their game was speed.

3. Lalhmangaihsanga Ralte, the ATK left-back just could not take the load relentless attacking by the visitor, which chose the right flank to launch most of its attacks at the start. Ralte dangerously fouled the NEUFC forward Federico Gallego to earn his first yellow in the 18th minute and had to walk off the field when he mercilessly felled down an advancing Nikhil Kadam in the 32nd minute.

4. The win for North East came as a big relief as it appeared to have forgotten the way to win a match away from home. Arriving at Kolkata with a winless run of seven matches outside the home, the NEUFC coach Eelco Schattorie made a wild celebration when Rowllin Borges scored the winning goal in the 89th minute.
