Dynamos survived the first half which was essentially about the home team concentrating on its defence.

Marcos Tebar returned to the Dynamos camp after missing three matches. His presence added depth to defence as Dynamos hung on desperately. The Dynamos midfield remained busy as NEUFC explored every possible avenue to score. The pressure on the defence began to mount as the match progressed but wayward finishing by the opposition allowed it to stay afloat.

Ogbeche
Bartholomew Ogbeche scored his sixth goal of the season to propel NorthEast United FC to a 2-0 win over Delhi Dynamos on Tuesday.

Ogbeche was a towering figure on the field as NEUFC came close to finding the target in the 62nd minute when Gallego found himself well placed outside the box. But his left-footer failed to beat the Dynamos goalkeeper Pawan Kumar.

There was exaggerated anticipation from the stands as NEUFC strove to recover its form that fetched the team a 4-3 win against Chennaiyin FC. NEUFC coach Eelco Schattorie had spoken highly of the Dynamos team which almost proved him right but for the late strikes from Gallego and Ogbeche.
