Pro Kabaddi hikes prize money

Pro Kabaddi has more than doubled its consolidated prize money to Rs. eight crore for Season Five, which commences on July 28 in Hyderabad.

Pro Kabaddi has more than doubled its consolidated prize money to Rs. eight crore for Season Five, which commences on July 28 in Hyderabad.

This marks a significant increment from Rs. two crore, which was the prize money for Season Four of the league.

Twelve teams will clash in 138 matches to win the title and receive Rs. three crore. The runner-up will be awarded Rs. 1.8 crore, while the team that finishes third will win Rs 1.2 crore. The Most Valuable Player prize will attract a higher cash award of win Rs. 15 lakh.

Anupam Goswami, League Commissioner, Pro Kabaddi said, “Even before the commencement of its fifth season, Pro Kabaddi has already traversed significant landmarks.”

The first match of Pro Kabaddi Season Five will see Telugu Titans take on new team, Tamil Thalaivas, on July 28 in Hyderabad.
