PKL 2019: Delhi finishes top after tense draw, U.P. Yoddha outclasses Bengaluru Bulls

U.P. Yoddha vs Bengaluru Bulls

Second-half:

33-45 U.P finishes its group campaign with a deserving victory and will face the same opponent in the first eliminator. U Mumba will face Haryana Steelers in the eliminator 2. Table toppers Dabang Delhi and Bengal Warriors will face the winners of the Eliminator 1 and Eliminator 2 in the semifinals respectively.

33-44 A bonus point given away by U.P Yoddha but Sumit Singh is pushed out of the lobby by the home defence.

32-43 Surender Gill gets another point and Ankit's failed raid seals Bengaluru's third all-out of the match.

31-37 Saurabh Nandal is taken out by Surender Gill's running-hand touch. Pawan Sehrawat has spend close to 18 minutes on the bench in this match and the match looks out of Bengaluru's hands for the time being.

31-36 Pawan Sehrawat comes and then goes back on the bench after he falls for a trap laid by Nitesh Kumar on the right corner.  This is the seventh time he is tackled successfully in this game.

31-33 Pawan Sehrawat finally wins his battle against Sumit and this time its a duel. Sumit gets a double-ankle hold but has no support around him. Pawan drags him across the mat and puts his hand over the line.

30-32 Rishank Devadiga gets a revival to bring back Sumit after Mohit Sehrawat's mistake gifts a raid point to Rishank.

28-32 U.P Yoddha has mastered the art of keeping Pawan Sehrawat queit. He once again attacks the left corner yet again and cannot turn around to escape Nitesh Kumar's tackle.

28-30 Rishank Devadiga comes back empty on his seventh raid of the match and is yet to open his account.

27-30 Surender Gill is tackled successfully by Mahender and Bengaluru raider Sumit Singh gets a touch on his his namesake Sumit to get a revival.

26-30 Sumit Singh gets another ankle hold on Pawan Sehrawat and his teammates run in to push the star raider off the mat.

25-28 Another smart ankle hold and tackle by U.P defence puts Pawan Sehrawat on the bench.

25-27 Banty is floored by the U.P defence on the left side and asks for a review. But the TV umpire deems the raider out and U.P gets its second all-out of the match to go into the lead.

25-22 A double-ankle hold by Mahender brings down Surender Gill and gets a revival for Bengaluru.

22-21 A crunching tackle by Nitesh Kumar on Sumit Singh puts Bengaluru on the verge of an all-out.

First-half:

20-22 Sumit Singh gets Nitesh Kumar on his next raid and Bengaluru ends first-half with a slender lead over the host.

20-21 Mohit Sehrawat does not check his footing and steps out of the line to gift away a point to U.P.

19-21 Pawan Sehrawat is tackled to the ground by U.P defence after Sumit gets an ankle hold on him.

17-21  Rishank Devadiga is tackled successfully by Bengaluru defence but Amit Sheoran is also out for pulling Rishank's jersey.

15-18 Pawan does not look confident after that one failed tackle put his team in danger. He is tackled successfully on the left corner.

14-17 Bengaluru all-out! Pawan Sehrawat is revived but is the last player on the mat as Shrikant Jadhav comes for a raid and gets an easy touch.

9-14 Sensational raid by Surender Gill! He tackled by the entire Bengaluru defence but manages to put his fingers over the line and takes out four players.

4-14 Pawan Sehrawat goes for a unnecessary tackle near the midline on Shrikant Jadhav and goes off the mat. Bengaluru's coach is not impressed with that effort.

4-12 Pawan Sehrawat goes past Pardeep Narwal on season 7 raid points list with his 302nd point.

1-6 What a massive raid by Pawan Sehrawat! He is pinned to the mat by the U.P Yoddha defence but manages to get his finger over the line by a centimetre and gets four points from a review.

1-2 Bengaluru Bulls takes the initial lead after Nitesh Kumar steps out of bounds on the right corner.

Second-half:

37-37 It's a tie! Dabang Delhi goes to top of the table with the result while U Mumba moves to third in the standings. Abhishek Singh escapes an attempted tackle by Ravinder Pahal to pull his team level in the final seconds.

36-36 Superb tackle from Fazel Atrachali! He escapes a hand touch from Chandran Ranjit and then breaks chain to stand in the way of the raider and puts him in an inescapable double-thigh hold mid-air.

35-36 Chandran Ranjith goes out of bounds trying to turn away from the left corner and is given out. However, Delhi reviews the decision and gets a re-raid.

35-35 With just three and half minutes to go, Meraj Sheykh is floored by Sandeep Narwal who gets his third tackle point of the match. The game could go either way from here.

35-34 U Mumba has turned this match around. Despite trailing by nine points at the end of first-half, Fazel Atrachali and Co have managed to wipe Delhi off the mat twice and stand on the verge of possible victory.

33-32 Second all-out for U Mumba! Anil tries a double-ankle hold on Abhishek Singh and the raider escapes it easily. Fazel Atrachali gets his High-5 by tackling Chandran Ranjit and inflicts a second all-out on Delhi.

32-28 Abhishek Singh takes out Vijay and piles pressure on Delhi, which has three players on the mat.

32-26 Vishal Mane tries to go for a dash on Arjun Deshwal but the Mumba raider is too smart for the move. He stays down and gets his hand over the midline.

31-23 Naveen Kumar has been quiet in the second-half as he comes back empty. Meraj Sheykh tries to lure Abhishek Singh into a running-hand touch on him and succeeds! The high-line Delhi defence ducks as Abhishek goes out of bounds on his turn.

29-22 All-out points for U Mumba! Subsitute Neeraj Narwal is tackled successfully by Fazel Atrachali to get two crucial points for the all-out.

28-19 Sandeep Narwal gets a powerful waist hold to bring down Vijay and Delhi inches towards its first all-out of the match.

27-16 Abhishek Singh takes out Naveen Kumar and Chandran Ranjit and U Mumba looks like it might stage a strong comeback in the second-half.

27-13 Naveen Kumar breaks Pardeep Narwal's Super-10 record! Naveen takes out Arjun Deshwal to reach his 20th consecutive Super-10 of this season. He breaks Pardeep Narwal's record of 19 Super-10s in a single season in PKL history.

First-half:

24-13 Fazel Atrachali gifts away a point by going out of bounds. Naveen Kumar takes the last Mumba man off the mat to move one-point closer to his 20th consecutive Super-10.

21-12 Naveen Kumar gets two more raid points to take his tally to 8 in this match. He already has 19 Super-10 from this season and is tied with Pardeep Narwal for most Super-10s in a single season.

17-12 Vishal Mane goes for a dash near the midline on Arjun Deshwal and gets a tackle point. However, the umpires ask for a referral and Mane is deemed out and Mumbai looks set for a fightback.

16-10 Rohit Baliyan gets a revival for U Mumba which brings back Fazel Atrachali on the mat. He gets a toe touch on Ravinder Pahal on his next raid.

15-8 Meraj Sheykh gets a touch on his compatriot Fazel Atrachali as Mumba loses its star defender for the second time in the match. Arjun Deshwal asks for a review following his next empty raid and wins a bonus point.

13-6 U Mumba All-out! Abhishek Singh is brought down, quite easily, Ravinder Pahal is on to a thigh hold and the Delhi team pushes the raider out of the lobby.

10-5 Another point for Naveen Kumar. The teenager takes out Rohit Baliyan and comes back. Abhishek Singh is the last man on the mat for Mumba.

8-4 Ravinder Pahal makes amends with a powerful ankle hold on Abhishek Singh and despite the energy displayed by Mumba, Delhi is dominating.

5-4 Naveen gets one back at Fazel Atrachali. After being floored on his first raid, Naveen targets Fazel on the left corner and takes a touch on the star defender to put his side back in the lead.

3-3 Abhishek Singh is put under a double-ankle hold by Ravinder Pahal but the Mumbai raider uses his reach to put his hand over the midline.

3-2 Meraj Sheykh turns around from the left corner and gets a running-hand touch on Surinder Singh.

2-1 And Fazel Atrachali is off the mark. The Mumbai skipper is off in a flash as he gets Naveen Kumar in a strong thigh hold.

2-0 Superb tackle by Anil Kumar! Abhishek Singh is put in a strong ankle hold from the centre half and Delhi is off the mark. Chandran Ranjit gets a touch point on his first raid.

After just one loss in its last 15 matches and sealing a playoff berth, Dabang Delhi coach Krishan Kumar Hooda has experimented with his lineups in the last two matches which ended up in back-to-back defeats. He might continue with testing his bench strength in the final league match against Mumba.

Meanwhile, U Mumba might field raider Ajinkya Kapre after he scored an impressive nine raid points in the 39-33 victory against Haryana Steelers. Skipper Fazel Atrachali is also in fine form scoring eight tackle points and will look to finish the league stage on a high note.
