PKL 2018 Highlights: Gujarat downs Delhi, U.P and Bengal share points

Gujarat Fortunegiants beat Dabang Delhi 45-38, while U.P Yoddha and Bengal Warriors played out a thrilling 30-30 draw.

Second-half

30-30 Surjeet almost won Bengal the match with the final raid of the match, as he gets a reverse toe-touch on Sachin Kumar on left, but UP goes for a review and reverse the decision as the Bengal seems to have missed the point by a whisker! What a dramatic end to a fiercely-contested match!

26-28 Rishank gets a bonus and takes out Jang Kun Lee, but Maninder takes the remaining two on his raid and inflicts the allout on UP.

24-24 Rishank gets a bonus while Maninder gets his 12th raid point.

23-23 Maninder gets his Super Ten with a Super Raid to level the scores yet again.

23-20 Rishank eyes Surjeet on the right cover and comes back with an empty raid.

23-19 Maninder gets a point for Bengal as he takes out Sachin Kumar on the right corner.

22-18 Azad gets his fourth raid point in as many attempts.

21-17 Narender finally gets Maninder as UP gets the first all out in a closely-contested match.

17-16 Rakesh Narwal is gifted an extra point as Nitesh Kumar steps out of the court on the left corner.

17-14 Sachin Kumar takes out Surjeet as Rakesh Narwal is the last man left in Bengal's court.

16-14 Nitesh Kumar gets his fourth tackle point of the match, with a successful hold on Jang Kun Lee.

15-14 Azad breaks the deadlock for UP after Mahesh Goud goes after the raider with a weak ankle hold.

14-13 Azad gives the host the lead after he gets Shrikant Tewthia and Vijin Thangadurai.

11-13 Maninder gets Narender for the fourth time of the match to get the first point of the second half.

First-half

11-12 Surjeet gets Rishank with a double-ankle hold to end the first-half with a small advantage for the visitor.

11-11 Jang Kun Lee tries to go over the left chain and Sachin pins the raider to the mat.

10-11 Shrikant Tewthia's superb tackle on Shrikant Jadhav gives Bengal a slender lead.

10-10 Jang Kun Lee plays smart and attacks the left cover as he manages to get a toe touch on Rishank Devadiga.

10-8 Maninder is out after Nitesh tackles him successfully.

Second-half

38-45 The match ends with two more empty raids as Gujarat takes home its fifth win in a row. Both the defences have been pretty ordinary with the raiders taking the initiative to bail their teams out of trouble, but the racing start helps Gujarat at the end.

32-40 Super ten for Dong Geon Lee! The Korean has been intelligent with his toe touches and nicking bonus points every time there was a chance.

32-39 Ruturaj gives away another point with a weak tackle on Pawan, while Joginder commits an unforced error when he steps out of the lobby.

31-38 Its a super ten for Chandran Ranjith and Pawan is successful on his third raid. Defensive mistakes have cost Delhi  dearly despite its raiders doing their job.

30-38 Second all out of the night for Delhi as Pawan Kadian raids successful.

26-36 Naveen takes out Sunil Kumar and reduces Gujarat down to two men.

24-36 Delhi fails to capitalise on Gujarat's lesser defending numbers with back-to-back empty raids.

24-34 Lee gets an ankle touch on Ravinder Pahal and a bonus point.

23-32 Naveen is out after he oversteps the lobby boundary after getting two Gujarat defenders.

22-30 Lee touches the bonus point despite slipping on one occasion.

First-half

Rohit Gulia has been the star of the first half with seven raid points from six raids, while Naveen Kumar and Chandran Ranjith have tried to inject some momentum for Delhi with 5 raid points apiece.

17-27 Yogesh Hooda gives Gujarat its first all out points of the match as he is unable to get out of the central area, but gets a bonus point.  

16-23 Bhainswal tackles Naveen for the first time in the match.

16-21 Sachin targets the left cover and reduces the difference to three points.

16-20 Lee asks for a super raid, but the referee awards two points for Gujarat.

15-18 Chandran Ranjith gets Ruturaj for the second time and Joginder Narwal gets the all out points with a tackle on Prapanjan.

11-15 Joginder takes out Sachin, as Naveen puts Gujarat on the verge of an allout with yet another raid point.

9-15 Naveen gets a point to reduce Gujarat to three players with his latest raid.

7-15 Rohit Gulia gets two points in a Do-or-Die raid.

6-13 Naveen gets a bonus and takes out Ruturaj in consecutive raids as the host desperately tries to come back into the contest.

1-7 Dong Geon Lee executes a reverse-kick to send the Delhi defender out of the court. A superb start to the game by the visitor.
