That's all we have for you today. Thank you so much for joining us. See you all again at 7pm tomorrow for two thrilling encounters.

IN THE SECOND MATCH, UP WAS GIVEN A SCARE BY PUNE, WHICH CAME BACK FROM TRAILING 14-29 AT HALF-TIME TO DRAWING BACK LEVEL AT 36-36. BUT UP HELD ITS NERVES AND REGISTERED ANOTHER WIN.

WHO KNOWS, HAD PARDEEP SPENT A FEW MORE MINUTES ON THE BENCH, HE COULD HAVE BROKEN PAWAN SEHRAWAT'S RECORD OF 39 RAID POINTS.

WELL, WELL, WELL! PARDEEP NARWAL SIGNED OFF WITH 34 RAID POINTS AND 2 TACKLE POINTS OFF A SUPER-TACKLE AS PATNA DECIMATED BENGAL 61-40 IN A RECORD- BREAKING MATCH! JUST FEW DAYS BACK, PUNERI PALTAN AND TELUGU TITANS SET A NEW RECORD OF RECORDING THE HIGHEST TALLY OF POINTS IN A SINGLE MATCH (103). TODAY, PATNA AND BENGAL BETTERED THAT WITH 110.

FULL-TIME: PUNERI PALTAN ENDS ITS PKL 7 CAMPAIGN WITH THIS LOSS AND UP CLIMBS TO THE FOURTH SPOT IN THE TABLE.

43-39: AMIT KUMAR OF PUNE GETS AN EASY TOUCH POINT OFF AMIT OF UP AND THAT'S THAT!

43-38: Surjeet fails with the ankle hold on Sachin Kumar.

42-38: Amit Kumar gets Sachin Kumar.

42-37: ANKUSH GETS KADIAN AND GIRISH AND THIS SHOULD BE IT!

40-37: NOW, MANJEET FAILS AND THIS TIME, IT'S NITESH AND NOT SACHIN KUMAR WITH THE DAMAGE. Brilliant ankle hold.

39-37: PUNE PLAYS A HIGH LINE OF DEFENCE ON DEVADIGA AND GIRISH MARUTI ERNAK WITH A GREAT ANKLE HOLD AND GREAT STRENGTH TO PULL HIM BACK.

39-36: Nitin Tomar is floored with a diving ankle hold from Sachin Kumar and that's a huge relief for UP.

110 SECONDS TO GO AND AS THEY ALL FAMOUSLY SAY, ALL THREE RESULTS ARE POSSIBLE

38-36: TWO MINUTES TO GO AND ONCE AGAIN, A MISTAKE COSTS PUNE DEARLY! OVER-EAGERNESS FROM THE DEFENDER. AMIT KUMAR FAILS WITH AN ANKLE HOLD AND LETS DEVADIGA DIVE BACK TO SAFETY. Pune reviews the call, claiming no bonus for Rishank. Replay shows that the bonus attempt is clean AND TWO POINTS TO UP. PUNE'S REVIEW IS UNSUCCESSFUL.

PUNE HAS RECOVERED FROM A 15-POINT DEFICIT AT THE END OF THE FIRST HALF TO DRAW BACK LEVEL!

36-36: SCORES LEVEL. Do-or-die raid for Nitin Tomar and he delivers with a touch point off Ashu Singh. UP challenges the call, claiming the raider is out. More of a desperate reviews. Replay shows Nitin Tomar stepped into the lobby only after getting a touch and THE REVIEW IS UNSUCCESSFUL.

36-35: Do-or-die raid for UP and ANKUSH IS PULLED BACK ON THE MAT AND SENT BACK THE BENCH BY AMIT KUMAR. HIGH-5 FOR HIM AMIT TOO!

36-34: Nitin Tomar escapes Gurdeep Singh's ankle hold and turns back quickly to jog back to safety.

33-31: Manjeet now gets Gurdeep Singh and this is just exciting stuff.

33-30: SUPER-TACKLE AND PUNE IS RIGHT BACK INTO THE GAME. IT'S A THREE-POINT GAME! SURJEET SINGH WITH A LETHAL DASH ON MONU GOYAT.

33-27: Nitin Tomar gets a bonus and then SACHIN KUMAR COMES IN FOR A QUICK PURSUIT AND LIKE LAST TIME (IN THE FIRST HALF), HIS PRESSURE FORCES AN ERROR FROM THE DEFENCE. AMIT STEPS OUT OF BOUNDS.

32-26: Do-or-die rai for UP. SURENDER SINGH IS IN AND HE GOES BACK WITH POINT. SAGAR KRISHNA TRIES A BLOCK, BUT SINGH TURNS BACK ON TIME AND RUNS BACK.

31-26: Now, Darshan Kadian visits the bench. Amit with his third tackle point of the night.

30-26: Do-or-die raid for Pune. Manjeet leaves it late AND HE BITES THE DUST! FIRST POINT OF THE HALF FOR UP AND IT'S THE SKIPPER, WHO DOES THE DAMAGE! WITH THIS TACKLE, HE BRINGS UP HIS HIGH-5.

29-26: 12 POINTS IN THE LAST FIVE FOR PUNE AND NOTHING FOR UP. AMIT KUMAR TACKLES DEVADIGA!

29-25: STILL NO POINTS FOR UP IN THE SECOND HALF!

29-24: PUNE IS HUNGRY AND THAT TACKLE SHOWS JUST THAT! DARSHAN KADIAN TACKLES GURDEEP SINGH AND THE WHOLE TEAM POUNCED AT HIM.

29-23: FOUR-POINT RAID FROM MANJEET AND UP IS ALL-OUT! WHAT A COMEBACK THIS HAS BEEN FROM PUNE IN THE SECOND HALF.

29-19: PUNE HAS STARTED REALLY WELL HERE! First, Manejet sends Nitesh Kumar to the bench before Amit Kumar shuts all doors on Monu Goyat.

29-17: SURENDER SINGH JOINS DEVADIGA ON THE BENCH!  Girish with a great tackle.

29-16: Manjeet helps himself to an easy touch point. Sachin Kumar in the left cover was too eager to tackle the raider, but he was in two minds and that allowed Manjeet to bag a point.

29-15: Puneri Paltan starts its last 20 minutes of PKL SEASON 7 with a short block from Surjeet on Rishank Devadiga.

STORY OF THE FIRST HALF:

  • UP-14 raid points, 9 tackle point
  • PUNE-7 raid points, 7 tackle points

20-10: THAT IS JUST SMART WORK FROM UP. NITIN TOMAR FAILS MISERABLY WITH AN ANKLE HOLD AS SACHIN KUMAR RUNS IN TO DASH AND REDUCES PUNE TO TWO MEN.

19-10: SUSHANT SAIL JOINS HIS SKIPPER ON THE BENCH. Amit stays low and throws Sail in the air, who lands a bit uncomfortably. But he is okay.

18-10: ONE VETERAN GETTING THE OTHER! DEVADIGA IS USING ALL HIS EXPERIENCE AS HE USES GREAT MOVEMENT TO GET A TOUCH POINT OFF SURJEET AND JUMP BACK TO SAFETY.

12-6: Sushant Sail now puts in a tackle on Rishank Devadiga.

12-5: MANJEET AND HIS MIGHT OVERPOWER GURDEEP'S DASH!

12-4: MONU GOYAT IS COMING BACK TO FORM! THAT'S GREAT NEWS FOR UP! He sends Surjeet Singh back to the bench.

11-4: PUNERI IS ALL-OUT! LAST MAN IN WAS SUSHANT SAIL, WHO GOT A BONUS AND THEN RAN OUT OF BOUNDS!

8-3: SUPER-TACKLE FOR PUNE! THE TEAM WAS DOWN TO TWO MAN, BUT THANKS TO SAGAR KRISHNA'S ANKLE HOLD ON RISHANK AND SUSHANT SAIL'S ASSIST. UP CHALLENGES THAT ONE DEFENDER HAD STEPPED OUT OF BOUNDS. Replay shows that the defender indeed had stepped out of bounds. NO SUPER-RAID! Krishna, in fact, has to go back to the bench.

7-3: SURJEET AND GIRISH MARUTI ERNAK, THE PILLARS ARE WIPED OUT. GIRISH WITH A WEAK BACK HOLD AND THEN SURJEET WITH A WEAK ASSIST. TWO POINT TOO SURENDER SINGH.

So, what to expect from today's encounter?

Bengal Warriors: Bengal Warriors returns to action after a scintillating 42-33 win over the current leaders Dabang Delhi. The team will look to continue the good form and climb to the top of the table with a win tonight.

However, it will not be easy as a young team will go be up against a full-strength Patna Pirates. Only Mayur Shivtarkar and Bengal's leading defender Baldev Singh have been retained from the previous match.

Bengal is going with a defence-centric side today. Baldev Singh will lead the charge and will have the support of Viraj Vishnu and Adarsh T in the starting seven. Naveen Narwal and Amit will start as subsitutes.

Sourabh Tanaji Patil and Mayur, the all-rounders, also starts. Whereas, the raiding department will be handled by Mohammad Taghi Paein Mahalia, Rakesh Narwal.

Come to look at it, Bengal still fields a well-balanced squad.

Patna Pirates: TIME FOR PARDEEP NARWAL ONE FINAL TIME THIS SEASON!

Well, for starters, Pardeep Narwal will once again shoulder the responsibility of getting Patna over the line, which returns to the mat after a close win against Gujarat Fortunegiants in the previous match.

Pardeep Narwal is currently second in the list of most raid points this season with 268 points. He is currently 25 short of leader Pawan Sehrawat. Unfortunately, Pardeep will not be able to finish at the top for the second season in succession as Patna failed to make it to the playoffs.

In the defence, Neeraj Kumar, Hadi Oshtorak will take guard at the left and corner, respectively. Vikas Jaglan and Jaideep will be present for assistance in the cover region.

In the raiding department,  Jang Kun Lee and Mohammad Esmaeil Maghsoudlou will look to make a difference today.
