So, what do both the teams need to do today to win?
Dabang Delhi had a big scare against Patna Pirates in its last match, but was saved by one single man, Vijay. His super-raid turned the tables on its head and Patna simply had no answers after that.
Naveen Kumar, despite having an average game, registered his 16th consecutive super-10. In the defence Ravinder Pahal has been at the top of his game, but Pardeep Narwal exposed his weaknesses last time around. Joginder Narwal has been a little inconsistent, but has come good on important days.
Puneri Paltan has little no to nothing shot at making the playoffs. It is only a matter of time before we get confirmation of the falling out of the qualifying race permanently. ONE LOSS AND THE PALTAN WILL BE KNOCKED OUT. THEY SIMPLY CANNOT LOSE.
To make matters worse, the Paltan will take to the mat without the services of its lead raider, Pankaj Mohite. The onus will on an inconsistent Nitin Tomar and an off-colour Manjeet to spearhead the team's offence.
Moreover, Pune's leading defender and skipper, Surjeet Singh, starts on the bench. Now, Sagar Krishna and Balasaheb Jadhav have to make sure Pune's defence is uptight.
