PKL 2019: Telugu Titans raring to take on U Mumba 

Telugu Titans will take on former champion U Mumba in the opening clash of the seventh season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL 2019) on Saturday.

Telugu Titans, in search of a maiden title, will commence the seventh season of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL 2019) when it takes on U Mumba in the inaugural match of the Hyderabad-leg at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium here on Saturday.

Defending champion Bengaluru Bulls will begin its title defence against three-time champion Patna Pirates in the second match of the day.

The home crowd should be excited at the prospect of Siddharth Desai, who became the season's most expensive player after being bought by Telugu Titans for a whopping ₹1.45 crores, unravelling his skills against his former teammates from U Mumba.

“Siddharth and I know each other well and we do have a plan to tackle him which you will see in the game tomorrow,” said U Mumba captain Fazel Atrachali with a big smile, on the eve of the match at a promotional event featuring captains of all the 12 teams.

“We fought hard last season and we will continue to do the same this year as well. This season we have youngsters with us who have shown the same dedication and promise as Sidharth," he added.

Bengaluru Bulls captain Rohit Kumar picked Gujarat FortuneGiants and Tamil Thailavas as the strongest outfits this season. “We are aiming to win maximum of the matches and even if we lose, it should be with minimum difference,” he said.

On the other hand, Patna Pirates captain Pardeep Narwal reminded that they won the title thrice and that his side is determined to win it again. “We are a strong and balanced side and there’s nothing that will stop us. Personally, I’m also working on some new moves which you’ll see on the mat in our opening game,” he remarked.
