Summary: Only a few days ago, Patna Pirates had created a new franchise record in defense with 21 tackle points against Tamil Thalaivas. However, inexplicably, the same defense was all over the place today against Jaipur Pink Panthers. Arjun Deshwal capitalised on an out-of-sync Patna Pirates defense and collected 17 raid points. Sandeep Dhull and Vishal Lather picked up High-5s while stopping Monu Goyat and other Patna raiders from covering up for the failure of the men in green's defense. Although Guman Singh picked up a Super 10, the end result was a clear reflection of the Pirates not showing up today. With this win, Jaipur Pink Panthers moves to eighth while Patna Pirates stays on third.
30-51: Final raid of the match, Deepak Niwas Hooda goes in and gets tackled by the Patna defense. It does not matter as Jaipur Pink Panthers beats Patna Pirates 51-30!!!
29-51: Monu Goyat in for the second last raid of the match, Sandeep tries to pick another tackle point with the ankle hold but gets no support.
28-50: A quick raid from Sachin gets Sahul Kumar to commit the error and provide the touch point.
27-50: Naveen picks up a touch point off Sourav. Jaipur is just having fun now.
25-47: Not this time. The Jaipur defense holds back Monu Goyat who seemed to have taken the touch point while returning to his side of the mat.
25-46: Monu Goyat picks up one touch point. Deepak Singh tried to push him off the mat but the raider put his hand across the mid-line in time.
24-45: Sourav and Sajin team up for the dash and push Arjun Deshwal off the mat. However, the official has given one point each as one of the Patna Pirates defenders too went out. Jaipur has used its review saying that the raider is safe. The review is unsuccessful but as it turns out, two defenders were self out.
Final strategic time out. Five minutes left. It looks like Patna Pirates will walk back empty-handed tonight.
23-43: A running hand touch brings another point for Guman Singh. It's Vishal who failed to step back in time.
22-43: Sahul Kumar gets a strong ankle hold on Guman Singh and the support comes in time. Routine.
22-42: Finally, some sort of synchronisation has been shown by Patna as it takes down Deepak Niwas Hooda.
21-42: Guman Singh puts in one more successful raid as the sub Naveen goes for his ankle from the right corner but fails.
19-41: Deepak Niwas Hooda picks up a bonus.
19-40: Sachin goes in for the raid and it is Vishal who tries to tackle him on his own. However, it is of no use as Sachin escapes easily. The Pirates have lost their review looking for a bonus point in the same raid.
First strategic time out. Ten minutes left. This match looks over to be very honest. Patna can still try to eke out one point by reducing the margin of defeat to seven or less points.
18-39: HIGH FIVE FOR SANDEEP DHULL!! The left corner has put in a defensive masterclass. Sandeep takes down Guman Singh and gets the assist in time.
18-38: Arjun Deshwal picks up a bonus.
18-37: A rare error from Vishal as he goes for a solo tackle on Guman but the tackle was never there in the first place.
17-37: Jaipur is relentless. A bone-crushing ankle hold from Sandeep to take down Monu Goyat.
17-36: ALL OUT!!! Arjun Deshwal is unstoppable tonight. The youngster first escapes Sunil's ankle hold and then uses Shadloui's momentum to touch him as well.
17-32: Sachin goes in for the raid, invites Sandeep to go for the ankle hold and the defender gladly accepts it.
17-30: SUPER TACKLE!!! First tackle points of the night for Patna. Shadloui and two others take care of raider Arjun Deshwal.
15-30: A running hand touch, very faint one, from Sachin Tanwar to send Vishal to the bench. He picked a bonus too.
13-30: Neeraj tries to capitalise on the super tackle situation but Deepak Niwas Hooda is just too good for him.
11-30: I'm speechless at this point of time. Another multi-point raid for Jaipur as Deepak gets a touch off Neeraj on the right corner and then gets past the dash of Sajin.
11-27: It has been a shocking night for the Pirates' defence. Arjun gets two touch point courtesy off failed tackles from Sunil and Guman.
HALF-TIME: Patna Pirates 11-25 Jaipur Pink Panthers
11-25: Final raid of the first half and Arjun Deshwal gets the benefit of another failed tackle from Shadloui. What an unbelievable first half!
11-24: Guman continues the good work. This time, the touch point comes off Vishal.
10-24: A good raid from Guman Singh, gets rid of Sandeep Dhull and Sahul Kumar in one go.
8-23: ALL OUT!!! This is unbelievable. Monu Goyat goes in for the raid, takes the bonus but nothing more than that. Patna has been shell-shocked here.
7-19: Not yet. Guman Singh wins a bonus and then negotiates Vishal's block.
5-19: Arjun easily gets a touch off Neeraj Kumar and Patna is down to one man.
4-18: Deepak Niwas Hooda with a brutal back kick gets a touch point off Sunil on the right corner.
4-17: Solid back hold from Sahul sends his counterpart Prashanth Kumar Rai off. Brilliant.
4-15: Jaipur defense is on fire today. Another unsuccessful raid for Patna and the raider was Sachin.
4-14: Arjun Deshwal picks up a bonus.
4-13: However, this time, the Jaipur defense is onto him in a flash and pushed him off the mat.
4-12: Do-or-die raid for Monu Goyat but no problem. He gets the crucial point off Sandeep Dhull.
3-12: ALL OUT!!! Incredible raid from Arjun. It looked as if the super tackle had been executed but he somehow struggled his way back to safety.
3-8: There was a super tackle opportunity but Monu Goyat probably had more time than he thought as he went for Arjun Deshwal's ankle.
3-7: Monu Goyat picks up a bonus point.
2-6: A quick running hand touch from Monu Goyat gets Deepak Rathee's knee.
1-5: And now he is off. Sachin Tanwar sends him to the bench with a touch point. First point of the night for the Pirates.
0-5: This is some start for Jaipur. Deepak Niwas Hooda picks up a touch point.
0-4: Prashanth Kumar Rai goes in for the raid and has been taken down easily.

7PM: PREVIEW:
The Patna Pirates returned to action after a 10-day hiatus on Friday and registered a massive 52-24 win over the Tamil Thalaivas . The Pirates’ raiding unit was at its efficient best, as Sachin, Monu Goyat, and skipper Prashanth Kumar Rai combined to score 21 raid points. But the defence had a historic night, as Mohammadreza Chiyaneh, Sunil and Neeraj Kumar racked up High 5s. The Pirates set a new franchise record with 21 tackle points against the Thalaivas. Patna is looking scary on offence and defence, and it’s going to take a Herculean effort to stop this all-conquering ship.
The Jaipur Pink Panthers is winless in its last four games and has slipped to ninth on the points table. Outside of Arjun Deshwal, no other Jaipur player has been consistent. The Pink Panthers defensive unit has been especially woeful and has managed only 11 tackle points in the team’s last five halves of kabaddi. With no support for Deshwal and offence and a struggling defence, things are looking bleak for Jaipur. But one win could turn the tide of its season, and coach Sanjeev Kumar Baliyan would be hoping his team can find some form and beat the Pirates.
