All for pride

Peter Hudson, Nike Football's Global Creative Director, spoke about the making of the special jersey. "For the World Cup, every team has its own unique stamp stemming from both individuality and team trait. We wanted to address them, have cultural inputs and take a generic approach. So Nike wanted to bring functional material that gives 90 minutes of comfort through its Sphere Dry technology. India was a late signing. For the moment, we have kept the jersey simple and clean, the concept being to pay homage to the Indian crest. The crest is positioned to the left of the jersey for it is all about pride and heart. The three-dimensional material for the jersey takes care of the climatic conditions, and ensures the jersey does not stick to the body because of sweat."
