Fisichella's next move

ITALIAN Giancarlo Fisichella is talking to Sauber about a possible move from Jordan for 2004, the Swiss team confirmed. A Sauber spokesman said at the British Grand Prix that Fisichella visited the Formula One team's factory at Hinwil as part of "informal discussions about the future."

Sauber's current drivers, Germans Nick Heidfeld and Heinz-Harald Frentzen, are both out of contract at the end of the season while Fisichella is looking to join a more competitive team.

"The drivers are talking to other teams and the team is looking at options," the spokesman said. Sauber is currently two points behind Jordan in the championship, with nine points, but has scored in more races than Jordan who would only have one without Fisichella's lucky victory at Interlagos.

Frustrated with Jordan, the Italian dreams of driving for Ferrari. Jordan on its side will not stand in Fisichella's way if a better opportunity comes along.
