ITALIAN Giancarlo Fisichella, who drives for the Jordan Formula One team, has signed a two-year contract to drive for Sauber, the Swiss team announced.
"In mid-August I met with Peter Sauber in Switzerland and I immediately had a positive feeling," said Fisichella.
"The new wind tunnel highly impressed me and it proves the team has a lot of potential and want to be successful. I'm looking forward to the new challenge."
Team owner Peter Sauber said he was delighted to have signed a driver on whom he has had his eye for a long time
Fisichella, who won his first Grand Prix in Brazil earlier this year, will drive for Sauber in 2004 and 2005 when his contract with Jordan expires at the end of the year.
