Ricky Bhui: We are in good form

The best part of our campaign will be the fact that we have players who are all in good form, and with David Warner back, there is bound to be a huge difference, says the Flamboyant batsman.

Flamboyant batsman Ricky Bhui, who has been with Sunrisers Hyderabad since 2014, believes that the strong point of the IPL franchise will be the perfect balance it has in all departments.

“Ours is a team, little bit new, which has players for all situations. Capable of raising the bar under pressure against any opposition,” says the Andhra batsman.

“Yes, every edition is going to be challenging, given the changes most of the teams make and this season, too, will be no different. As far as Sunrisers is concerned, we take pride from the kind of tactical backup we get from the support staff,” he says. “In a way, there is so much of experience to bank on in this regard from some of the finest cricketing brains,” he adds. “We do believe that we can win the title. I don’t think there will be any sort of pressure by way of expectations. When the team is good, they are bound to be high. But again, we have built up a reputation over the last five years as a very formidable unit capable of stunning the best,” he says.

“Like always, IPL does provide exciting opportunities for the young guns to learn a lot, by merely watching some of the big names train and play,” he adds.

“The best part of our campaign will be the fact that we have players who are all in good form running into this edition. And, with (David) Warner back, there is bound to be a huge difference.”
