Brett Lee, wearing a red t-shirt and cap, operated at a gentle pace to enthuse the string of school kids lining up to face him in a bowling clinic, organised by a health drink company at the Bishop Cottons Boys High School in Bangalore.
He charmed both the students and their eager parents with his warmth and a few Hindi words. After bowling his gentle seamers, Lee would often grab the microphone to describe his deliveries besides advising the eager juniors about ways to improve their bowling as well as their shot selection. "I love being here in India. It is almost like second home for me and I have many friends out here. I love seeing the joy on the faces of these kids and they are so keen to learn more. It is a privilege for me to be here and to teach some facets of cricket. Yeah, I got smacked for a few fours but I enjoyed every bit of it," said Lee, even as he clambered up the stage to strum the guitar, his second love.
