Lehmann hoping to play in December

Injured Australian batsman Darren Lehmann is hoping to play for South Australia in a four-day game against Queensland. Lehmann tore an Achilles' tendon in the recent Test series against Zimbabwe and has been wearing a protective boot to hasten his recovery. "I set an outside target of playing the game in Brisbane on the 19th to the 22nd December and hopefully if I played that then that gives me an outside chance to play one of the Test matches," he said. "Having spoken to the surgeon it's probably going to be a bit soon but we're still going to wait and see. We may get there, we may not."
