What is your idea of perfect happiness?

It makes you happy if you are 100 per cent involved in one thing in life. It can be your job, your hobby etc.

What is your motto in life?

Life is what you make it.

What is your favourite holiday destination?

Las Vegas.

Someone you would go to when in doubt?

My psychologist.

What are your earliest memories of playing badminton?

I remember playing against my dad.

What are the other sports that you play?

Tennis and soccer.

If not a badminton player, what would you have been?

Footballer or a tennis player.

Most memorable sporting moment?

Olympic semifinal in London 2012.

One memory you would like to forget?

Don’t really have any. It’s from the hard moments that you learn the most.

Who are your sporting heroes?

Don’t really have an idol, but I admire Roger Federer. He seems like a very calm and down-to-earth person.

Which is your favourite venue?

NIA Birmingham, All England.

In India, they ask me, “Do you know Taapsee (Pannu)?”

Work hard.
