Built ahead of the 2007 World Cup and named after the island's most famous player, the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium replaces the Antigua Recreation Ground as the major venue in Antigua.

Located nine kilometres south of the capital, Georgetown, the Providence Stadium was built for the World Cup and will have three major stands and a grass mound that can accommodate 4,000 people, giving an overall capacity of around 15,000.
