To get trapped in a lift all alone.

The funniest request you’ve ever received?

Once a drunk man asked me to kiss him.

Favourite match you were involved in?

The 2014 Asian Games final match against Pakistan.

A player you would hate to see score past you?

There’s not one player in particular. I hate all non-Indian players scoring past me.

Which teammate do you like to share a room with when on tour?

Birendra Lakra and/or S. V. Sunil.

Favourite venue?

Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar.

What other sports have you played?

I have played volleyball, basketball and football during my schooldays.

One bad habit you could get rid of?

Overthinking. I think there are times I think too much about a topic and I lose the plot.

Your idea of perfect happiness?

Spending time with my family and children.

What is your most treasured possession?

My wife. We have known each other since we were 12 years old and used to be schoolmates as well.

Your advice for youngsters?

Be happy in whatever you do. Rather, do things and participate in activities which make you happy.

If not a goalkeeper, which position would you like to play in?

Forward, and score a lot of goals for India.

What do you never leave home without?

My water bottle.
